Was "steeped In Fraud."

Boston, Feb. 17.- Receiver Wyman of the Globe Investment Company, in his report to the suprema court, says the aiïairs of the concern are "steeped in fraud." The company dealt in 'western farm mortgages, and the receiver found f1,000,000 of liabilities, with practically no assets to meet them. Arrests of two of its offlcers for embezzlement followed, with the result that they were convicted and are now in prison. The receiver recovered ?4,000 worth of assets, but half this sum is yet in litigation. If you didn't see it in The Demoerat it didn't happen.
