Indianapolis, Feb. 14.- Albert S. Reed, with his attorneys, went before Judge Bakei of the federal district court yesterday and asked for a new trial. His appearance recalled the celebrated Indianapolis National Bank, case, in which T. P. Haughey, the Coffins and Reed were indicted for complicity in wrecking the bank. Haughey and Francis Coffln were sentenced to prison, and Coffin has since been pardoned by the president. Reed, as treasurer of the Indianapolis Cabinet company, was released on a suspended sentence. it being conceded that he was only nominally concerned. His motion for a new trial was granted, and the case against him dismissed by the government.
