The llth of April will be "Military day" for Ann Arbor. The commanderin-chief of the Michigan National Guard and military staff will be present, also many other offlcers. Company A will receive them at the depot in the afternoon and escort them to their headquarters in a military manner, where they will be entertained until early in the evening. When Inspector-General Case, M. N. G., and Captain Gardener, U. S. A., will inspect the company. Following the inspection a reception in honor of Governor and Mis. Pingree and the military staff and ladies will take place in the armory. The ball program will be opened with the lancers. to be followed by two-step and waltz until 2 o'clock a. m. A more fascinating scène is selüom witnessed than a military reception and ball under proper conditions. Arrangements will be correct in every detail. The armory will be profusely clecorated with palms, flags, etc, as will also the rcoms in the building east of the armory, which have been secured for that evening and will be connected with the armory by canopy. The addition of these rooms, together with the improvements made in the armory since the last Junior Hop was held there, make it the most comfortable as well as suitable place in the city for an affair of the kind. Every convenience possible for the guests will be looked after. The music (band for twö-steps. and orchestra for waltzes) will be the best procurable, and the dancing Hoor will certainly be in fine shape fur Ihe occasion. All the different points are to be looked after by separate committees. Taking it all rnd all the Light Infantry expect to give the finest reception and ball ever held in the city.
