The city council now stands a tie, , The terms of Aids. Shaefer, Gaudy, Lamb, Shaffer and Davis expire, leaving Aids. Huston, Van Fossen, Mi well, Worden and Moore as hold-evus. The Demoerats have simply to two aldermen to keep the cöuncil u ii. The Fourth ward is surely theirs. Fifth ward, with its Democr.i; majority, will in all probability go Democratie. The Demoerats therefore can elei t either Dawson, Pearsall or Larri on the west side of the river the city's patronage wtll be tb; ir. The Republioan ward caucus3S held last evening and in all the cincts except the fourth large and enthusiastic crowds were in attenu Full sets of delegates were elected to the city convention tonigiit.
