Last night the Oratorical Association met and in one of the stormiest sessions held here for a long time elected oiflcers. As soon as the meeting was called to order Mr. P. Y. Albright, '98 L, brought forward an amendment to the effect that the offices of president and secretary and vice-president and treasurer should go to the Llts and L lws in altérnate years. After considerable discussion the amendment was tabled. Immadiately after thls another amendment to have the presidency and the oiHc'e In the Northern Oratorical League rotate met a similar fate. Finally, after about an hour of diseusssion on ameiKtmènts and polnts of order, nominations were called for. Fred H. Bowers, '99 L, was nominated for president and elected by aeclamation. The Lit leaders seemed to think that by allowlng this election they mlght have a better chance on the reit of the offices. For vice-president the Lits nominated F. E. Rheinfrank and the Laws L. H. Ehrlioh. '00 L. The result "f the ballot was Rheinfrank 14S and Ehrlioh 173. R. W. Means. '00 L, was elected secretary, and D. T. Jones,. '00 L, nominated for vice-president of the Northern Oratorical League. Kor treasurer L. J. French. '99, and A. W. Ganshaw, '99 L, were nominated. For a time it seemed as if the Lits would win this place because of the bitter attacks made on Mr. Ganshaw by members of the '99 law class. But the loss was made good by a contingent of lit votes for Ganshaw and he was elected, the vote standing Ganshaw 159 and French 156. The votes on the representatives of the lit classes were as follows: '99 Lit, Ohlinger 94, Delbridge 90; '00 Lit, Raab 90, Hudnutt 85. Chas. Van was elected by acclamation f'rom '01 Lit.
