Miehigan's old-time rival, the Detroit Athletic Club, led by George Codd, the 'Vsity's well known captain in the early '90's, feil easy victims before the 'Varsity yesterday. The Deltas put a formidable aggregation in the field, but the work of the 'Varsity was too fast for them and they suecumbed without having gotten within hailing distance of the p.late. The final score was 10 to 0. The features of the game were the work of Wolf and Matteson, and the latter's batting. Both made stops and throws that were seemingly impossible. Matteson made the longest hit of the season, a home run toto left field. It carne in the sixth inning when every base was occupied. Cooley had an off il.iy at second, making three errors. Miller pitched the first seven innings, when Lehr went in. In this inning Lunn relieved Thompson back of the bat. Thev isitors got only four hits, three of which were made by Codd. Michigan scored in the first, Matteóon drew a base on balls, stole second, went to third on an error and tallied on Wolf's two-bagger. Another run was tallied in the second when Davies reached first on an fiTor, stole second and came in on Miller's hit. In the sixth the 'Varsity took. many liberties with Bacon, and scored seven runs. Wolf fouled out. Thompson got a life, as did Davies. Condón scored the former wlth a doublé. Butler's gle scored Davies and Condón. Mille) again hit safely ai,d Cooley took ftrst on a bunt which Snow juggled.
