Memorial Day

Memorial day in Ypsilanti was celebrated by the G. A. R. Monday pursuant to program. But it was not the same kind of spirit which has hitherto prevailed- it was a more solemn affair. The Light Guards were not here with their lively, swinging military step, nor was tbere the usual noise made by the commanding offlcers manifest.
