New York, June 30.- A dispatch to the Tribune from Washington says; Adyises are momentarily expected from Gen. Shafter or from Admiral Sanipson that Morro castle and its neighboring batteries on the eastern side oí tne narrow entrance to Santiago harbor, the worka at Estrella Point and Santa Catalina, have been occupiod by the American fcrces and that the Spaniárds have been driven from the fortifications on tlie west at La Socapa, I Cañones Point and Smith Cay. Officials understood that Admira] Sampson would open flre on Morroco and the other batterles yesterday morning at daybreak and continue firing with all his vessels, ineluding the Vcsuvius, unta every Spaniard in the works was either disabled or dr-iven out. Yesterday Gen. Shafter had a large part of hls corps, including all his advance forces, on the huls, within two miles of Morro, and everything was arranged so that the castle mlgiit be occupied within ar. hour after the bombardment ceased.
