William Sherman, of Eaton Mills, feil from a load of hay last week and broke an arm. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Morgan, of Tpsilanti, visited his sister, Mrs J M Breining, last week. The lightning struck and killed a horse and nog near Whittaker last week. The Reverend Howard Moore and wife dinnered with S. P. Ballard and wife last week. John Gotts has taken Roy Buttses place in the creamery. Roy graduated with honors. Mr. and Mrs. Whaley, of Milan, were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Dickerson last Sabbath. Every lady is praying for rain. But the pitiless clouds go slowly By and how can we refrain From thinking that the Lord of Lords Is busy now with Spain. The wheat is being gathered In at a rapid rate And the bare fields Are reminders Of the things that are in store When the winter winds Sweep round the house As they have done before When the good wife said With a pleasant smile "My dear, please shut the door.".
