For some days past money in the Alpha Delta Phi house in this city would disappear like mint in a Virginia settlerr.ent. About two weeks ago when Donald Bodman was out of nis room $20 got on white wings and vaporized. Three or four clays ago Eugene Worden and William Williams diseovered that a five-dollar bilí and a ten-dollar Wiliiam had dissolved. Day before yesterday Robert D. Law was touched ior $135. The game was getting pretty strong and they put the matter in Uie hands of the oflïcers to see who was the prestidigitator. Suspicion feil upon John Parker, a colored porter, and Lhe cops started out to look him up. He was not found until yesterday mornmg at 7 o'clock. On the way to the jail and just before he reached that boarding house, he passed up the offieers and started out on a sprint against tune and forHberty. Marty Wackenhul is no slouch on the einder path and hitched on to the rear tire of the pacemaker for a couple of blocks, when the race was declared off and the deputy sheriff landed flrst prize.
