John SLerman's rivals will appreciate -thiit dodge. - Miss Lillie C. Darst, editor of a Cireleville, Ohio, paper is a candidate for olerk of the house of representatives of that state. - The result of tho election in llassachusetts, as far as the Eegislature is concerned, is that the Demócrata have made a gain of four in the Senatn, and the Democratie representaron in the House has been strengthened by the election of several active and able politicians. - John Sherman will probably have one delegation from Penneylvania and Hancock tho other. Yet her politicans have such a prepenpity of selling oui that it will be impossible to teil where delegates will go after selling out. - They are distinguished as having an eye on the main chance.
