The Laws have formed a house of opresentatives like unto that at Washngton, for purposes of debate and aouirementof parliaruentary rules. W. C. Hudson, late president of the Webster Literary society is tho duly elected speaker thereof. This body holds a regular session on each Saturday aftornoon. - At the last meeting of the Webster Literary society for the year '79, held on Tuesday evening Dec. 18th, tho followir:g officers wero elected : President, Q-. D. Meiklejohn ; Vice President, J. N. Sinclair; Secretary, D. Bartlett; Treas C. S. Johnson ; Senior Cribe, W. L. Mc Kay; Junior Critic. D. S. McLure Marshal, W. C. Hudson. Tho regula meetings of this society aro held in th WebRter hall on Friday evening of eac! woek duriug the law term, unless other wise ordered, and a cordial invitation t attend thcuj is extended to the public
