W.H.Pease entered into $100 recognizance for the appearance of Mollie Robinson, charged witb keeping a bouse of iïl-fame. Isaac Wilson, arra;gned on a charge of false pretenses plead not guilty. Wm. Johns and M. Clark charged with burglary plead not guilty. D. Cramer assigned by court to defend botb. James Loney charged with receiving stolen property plead iiot guilty. Cranier appointed to defend him. Georga Bibbins oharged with larcí ny plead not guilty. 12. D. Kinne appointed to defend hun. ín casft t' David Wi.'bh. aduiinistrntor, &c, vs. Jonas Freer, time to settle bilí of exceptions extended one weck. Bill of exceptions filed in case of appeal of Mary J. Culp froni order of Probate court ; and time extended to Ith Tuesday of January. Wednesday.Jan.7. Hirani Batchelder entered into bonds of $300 for the appearance of Isaac Wilton at next term of court. S. J. S. McKpnney granted a decree ofdivorce from Isaiah McKenney on groundof extreme cruelty and drunkenness. Parties reside in Ypsilanti. Case of M. Webb, assignee, vs. J. S. Case, Sheriff', continued. Bullard withdrew plea of not guilty and plead guilty. Ordered to pay costs ainounting to $100 or sojourn at Ionia three months. Paid. Case of August Dupsloff, charged with leasing a house to Josie Carlton for purposes of prostitution, convicted in Justices' and appealed to circuit court occupied time of court tilia afternoon. Thureday, Jan. 8. Dupsloff found guilty on tirst count, viz : For renting house i'or prostitution. Second. Por permitting its use as sucb. Walter Barlow a studont in Allen's law office, Ypsilaiti, admitted to the bar. v Proseouting attorney Emeriok being sick balance of criminal cases are expected to go over the term. Washtenaw county vvill pay of $1000 salary of stenographer $509.53 ; Honroe county, $490.47. Nnmber of cases bcgun in Washtenaw in 1879, 214; ditto Monrce 20G. This being the basis upon which is estimated payment of salary for 1880.
