Stony Ckeek, Feb. 1G. - Colda are prevalent iu this vioinity. - There is in conteruplation a masquerade ball at Barr's hall, Feb. 27th, adinission 50 cents. - It is hinted that the Stony Creek No. 52, so long a popular society in our midst, tbrough samo internal eruption haa busted. - The Lyceum held at the Redner school house was largely attended. The question of debate was, Eesolvod, that navigation is more beneficial to the people of the United Stites than railroads. The chieí' speaker on the negative side was E. E. Douglas, and aflirmative side was T. Fuller. The question was decided in favor of the railroarls. The question of debate for the next meeting is, Resolved, that foreign eruigration is detrimental to the United States, whieh is to be held on ÏYiday evening, the UOth. Come onp and all prepared with something to aay.
