I saw a few weeks ago a statement in the Courier that Mr. Samuel Foster of Ann Aib r was in bis 87th year, and had alwsya roted the ïUpublican ticket. Now, I, Robert Shaukland of thetownship of Salem, "Washtenaw county, was born on the Hnl of November, 1791, and am now in my 89th year, and have always voted the Democratie ticket, and always mean to until we have another Democratie President, if itis athousand years. My father was a Democrat and a soldier in the revolution. 1 beeame a voter at the age of 21, and voted for James Madison for Pr( sident. I also voted for that hero, Androw Jackson, wfaich exhilarates my feelinga now to think of. Mr. Courier, bring out your next man.
