Chelsea, Alaren 81. -The village board has purehased a new windmill. - Tlie Baptist society of Chelsea is enlarging and improving tlieir church. - Tuomy Brothers of Dexter are soon to open a new dry goods and grocery store in Chelsea. - The congregational church gave an excellent Sunday school concert last Sunday afternoon. - The Keform club will give four special meetings the last of this week, good speakers havingbeen secured. -The railroad company is indulging in their annual spring talk about building a passenger house at this place this slimmer. They have done so for seven or eight years past, and we shall never believe that they mean business till they go to wort. - Thomas Godfrey one of the first settlers in this village, died at his residence liere last Monday night. He was eighty-tbxee years old and was so feeble in healththat anattackof inflammation of the lungs soon took liiin away. Ilis wife is also very sick and will probably not long survive him. The first settlers of this locality are rapidly passing away.
