Ds. report a generally, distressimgly . healthy time in this vicinity. - Mr. Zalman ('hurch of Ilowell is in town attending liis father's funeral, but returns home on the 31et. - There wil] be a general move in Saline wïthiu a few days. Xn lessthan three grocery flrms on the wing. -We notice the Wheat between Saline and Clinton is in some places badly damaged from the cold dry time that we have had. But tliink that the late rain will do a heap of good, espeiially on some of the clay hills. - Our townsman Mr. Z. Cliurch,Spn., died at his resktence cor. Ann Arbor and McKay Sis. on March 27th. The funeral was held at the residence on Monday March 29th. He was one of the oldest settlers ot' the township, and father of Mr. 1). Ollphant Church of Detroit. - There was an nuction sale of realestate on Monday last in front of the Goodrich House. The property disposed of was a farm forme'y occupied by Mr. Major 1). Wallace and a house and lot; also a vacant lot in the village. The farm was purchased by Mr. Ilenry Gormar, at S43,2-; per acre and the village property by Mr. James F. Seely of Ypsilanti. -Mr. Howard T. Xichols of the flrm of Nichola Bros. hasjust returned from his southern trip to Texas and N. O. bringing With him a limb of 8 or 10 oranges just ready for the market, beBides B full Mexican riding equipage, consisting of bridle, saddle, spur and whipi Thehead andrelnsof thebridl are made of wove horse-hair as also are the glrth and saddle eloth. Among-the rest of the curiosities are some shells and ahornedtoad. Heis aprettybaste. Mr. X. reports a very pleasaut trip with lots of fun and good living.
