Eaton Mills, Jiily 12. -Miss Delia Buttë is quite sick. -Mr. and Mrs.Wni. Warren a daughter June 20th. - Judith Fountain of Monroe is visitiug her aunt Mrs. D. W. Potter. - Miss Mary Peppiatt and Miss Cora Bunton spent tlie Fourth and the week following at Monroe. - D. Beaubien gave a ball on the se. cond. The Fourth passed veryquietin this part of tlie town. -School will close in about tliree weeks. We believe that Miss Lord intenda to have a picnic the last day We hope all will atcend that can. - Drain Commissioners, C. H. Greenman of Augusta and F. Graves of Ypsilanti have lately been laying out a county ditch between their respective townsliips. - Fruit has done well so far. Cherries bas been an abundaiit erop and tlie erop of wild berries such as raspberries, whortleberries and blackberries, are said to be very large -Frank Rust is working for George Xissle ne;ir_SüIi.i.i.L-"li?iYitngs on the farm of Mrs. Warren near Belleville prepai'atory for tlie railroad. - Work has begun in good earnest on he Detroit and Butler Railroad. The farmers are busv clearing off the cïous on the roau. 1 liere are two parties of vorkmen under the supervisiofi of Ai Maybee, working near here; one5 clearng some timber, the other ís gniding across D. "Wi Pottér'B fartn. The loca:ion oí the depot is not yet decided. Some of the farms are cut up badly. Tohn Wilson's farm is cut into thiee. Tlioy expect to reach the county line by Saturday.
