Choice winter fruit brings but 50c per barrel. - S:io is said to be infested with Guinea hens which escaped from Forepaugh'a circus. - ThoB. W. Burns won laurels for unique workmanship on netts, etc, at the connty fair. - Chas. S. Gregory will put liis orato rieal abilities in practical use at Milan Wednesday evening. -The apple packiag establishment attached to the cooper shop has been opened by Frank Evarts. -Jas. B. Joyner, proprietor of the Franklin house, smiles complacently over an overrush of business. -James S. Gorman, our nominee foï representative, is out of town on business connected with bis profesión. -The heavy rains of Baturday and Sunday did serious damage to the work on the new railroad bridge over Mili creek. - Sweet eider is but flve cents a gallon here, and even the advocates of teinperance sigh for the exhilarating draught. - Orien D. Lamphear and Miss Alice I. Howard, both of Webster, were married by Rev. L. L. Conrad of Dexter, were uniied in matrimony by Bev. J. Boyden of Kalamazoo, at the residence of the bride'B párente Wednesday, Sept: 29. A number of invited guests from Detroit and Ypsilanti were present. -Messrs. Henry and Harrison Vinkle desire us to state that during the period C. S. Gregory has acted as administrator of their portion of their father's estáte, he lias performed the functions of that position in a most commendable and praiseworthy rnanner. - Some scamps who will eVentuallf be an expense to our state for gratuit ous board and pare, by puiling ifp at state's prison, destroyed a valuable barbei pole belonging to J.
