MILÁN, UCl. ló. -Ola Mead has gone to Leadville. -Charles Stevér has moved into his new house. - B. W. Marble has the frame of his new building up. -David Ilitchcock, Sí., is süffering from typhoid fever. - Widow' Hack has gnne to Adrián to visit a sister living in tliat City. -A son of (Jeorge Stewart diedon Oc. 8th óf dyseniery, aged 20 months. - Mrs. Smith has sold her house posite the school house to Miss Sarah Palmer. - Old Mrs.Stewart, mother of Nathan Stewart, died on Oct. 6th of old age, being 89 years old. - George Edwards has moved the house he bought of Dr. Bessac to the lot adjoining C. II. Kelsey's residence. - Wilson & Sons have moved tlieir house near the race-bridge back from the river and are building an addition - Èasterly & Whitmarsh is the title of the new firm who have put in a f uil line of groceries in the building Mr. Whitmarsh bought of the Whiting estáte. - Winfield Wallacehas returned from N. Y., where he has been staying for several months for tlie benefit of bis health, which has been helped considerable during hte absence. - Wm. Cook and Stephen Olds were arrested and brought berfore Justice Marble on Oct. llth on a charge of disturbing a singing school at west Milan. The case was adjoufned to Oct I5th. - A. A. Tuttle bougtit 800 bbls. of applesl.ist week, at an aveTageof 61 ets. per barrel. Mr. Tuttle sayS it is the flnest lot of apples he ëVer bought and he has been in the business för many years. -The greenbacfcers of this section were greatly strengthened intheir faith on last Friday eVefling, Speeches from Mr. Mackey and Williams of Ann Arbor. Mr. Mackey though only 32 years old made the best speech wbicta 'has been delivered here this season. notwithstanding the disadvantage of having a mighty poor subject to work from. Mr. Williams did exceedingly well considering his small mental capacity and the diftkulty of his regulating the laige aaiouwt, t& wiud he pos■ sosses.
