Without question Mr. Wallace of Saline is tlie best qualified of the candidates, for the office of sheriff. For toni yeara last past he has fillert the position of deputy sheriff under sheriff Case, acceptably to the people and withoul complaint. The estimation in whicl he is held by his neighbors has beej demonstrated by repeated elections 1( township offices. The marnier in whlch he has fnlfilled the dutjes thereof is evidence that when he goes up highei he can be trosted. No one in this campaign has broughtan accusation against his character. Ilis life and record are known to all who desire it. This is one of two offices the republicana hopeto winby inducingdemocrats to vote for l'eckley. Fellow democrats, beware of the seductive voice of the republican tempter who asks you to slip Mr. AVallace's name, AND DO NOT DO IT. Stand by your political friend, who is of and with you, and upon whom you can rely for aid in the future. Why vote for Yeckley? A thorough-goingpartisan republican who never voted for a democrat. and Dfiver expects to. Yet lie is traversing tlie county i'rom town to fcown begging democrats whoin he despises politically, to help bonst tiim into office. Shall it be by the aid of raen he would not support under any circumstances? No good reason exists why any demoerat should refuse to vote for Mr. Waltaeft Experieneo makeshim more competent than his opponent, who is without any. A conscientions denrocrat, of nnblemished character, vrfiat nrore is required In the person of acandidate than Mr. Wallace possessesï stand by your political friend and refuse in any marmer to aid the enemy. Ask yourself tlie qnestion: "What will [ zain if I vote for Mr. YeckleyV" "Suppose my vote electa him, would I notregret it so long as I live"
