Whitman, who has labored untivingly on the stump for the past five week, speaking in behalf of the party and its candidates in every township. Neglecting his business, at considerable expense for travel and hotel fare, working f aithfully for the ticket, he is pre-eminently entitled to the vote of every democrat In "WasJitenaw county. T pon this otfice there will be a sharp contest, Mr. VVhitmaa's opponent expeeting to win as he did two years ago by democratie votes. Mr. Whitman possesses excellent ability as a lawyer and is abnndantly competent to perform tbe duties of prosecuting attomey. We have no besitancy whatever in recommending him to tbe voters of Washtenaw. He will bring to tbe office an experience of considerable practioe. In ability to present criminal cases to juries he is the superior of bis opponent. We eamestly impress apon eaoh and every democrat the duty of sustaining Mr. Whitman.
