The foTIowing were, alter reponed uy; the coirvmittee on resolutions, adtopted: During this.tenth annual. conv.ention of the iUicnigan State iknuouiuimi Society we liave been so hospitably entertained, our wants anticipated and so thoroughly provided for, even beyond the expections that wereraised by the cordial invitation to hold our sessions hore, and we are placed ander obligations to so many people and friends, tbat it is difficult to mentiun them in detail with any assurance that none sliall be leftout. - We will name, however the officersandmembers of the Washtenaw County Pomological Society, and the citizens of Ann Arbor generally for their courteous treatment and hospitable entertainment on thia occasion; the ladies arrd gentlemen-who by their delightful musichave added so materiftlTy to the pleasure of our meeting; the local committees having in charge the management of the meeting; the officials wh o have granted us the use of the commodioua audience room and other comforts connected with the sessions; the Professors of the State University, Agricultural College andXormal School, who have furnished us the admirable artdresses forour instruction and entertainment; to acting President Frieze for his kind invitation to visit the University, and for his politeness in showing us through the buildings of the variousdepartments; the oificers of the past year, who have devoted mach of their time to the advancement and interest of the society and its objects, and especially to our worthy President and efficiƫnt Secretary, whose incessant labors have become a part of the history of this society, and, in fact, of the horticulture of the country. In acknowledgment of the kindly offices thus rendered; therefore, beit Resolved, That the sincere thanks of the State Horticultural Society betendered to each and all of the above mentioned, and that the same become a part of the records of this society.
