This report misrepresents the actual facts relative to the city proper. Sixteen of the consumptives were patients from outside the city at the hospitals. One of the smallpox cases was also from a distance. Allowances must also be made for neglect in reporting eases upon the part of physicians.
These figures will be incorporated into the next report of the board of health to the city council.
