The building committee of the supervisors, consisting of Supervisors Oesterlin of Ann Arbor, Holmes of Chelsea and Woods of Lodi met Monday. They let the contract for two vault doors for the register of deed's office to the Victor Safe and Lock Co. of Cincinnati for $110 apiece. Koch Bros. received contract for the thing in the office for 75 cents a square foot and 15 cents for necessary cement. The committee has made a complete renovation in the basement under the register of deed's office that was a complete fire trap. They have had brick piers put in in place of wood braces. The register of deed's office will, when finished, be an almost, if not quite, fire proof vault.

The committee gave careful attention to the three indexes In the probate office, which. after over 40 years' servIce are coming to pieces. They laid the matter on the table until their next meeting, when they will probably take needed action.
