Jury Disagreed in Major Case

Quite an interesting case was on trial in Justice Doty's court Monday, the jury disagreeing. Last May Frank Sommers, a paint drummer of Detroit, called on Charles Major, the painter and decorator. The men became involved in a heated argument, in which Mr. Sommers claims they both fell, his coat knocking over a pot of paint, and that Mr. Major seized a brush and painted his coat. He went to Tailor Lenz' to have his clothes cleaned. He claims $100 damages. The jury consisted of Louis Weinmann, George Goodrich, Albert Schumacher, Henry Meuth and Charles Greenman. Murray & Storms were the attorneys for Sommers and A.J. Sawyer, jr., for Mayor. The case will be tried again on Tuesday.
