EYEBALL CUT BY FLYINH CHIP

IT WAS SO DEEP THAST THE HUMOR FLOWED OUT

Rev. Mr. Lawrence will be Given a Donation at Saline on January 22

Saline, Mich., Jan. 10.- While a colored man by the name of Crosby was chopping in the woods near here, with a companion named Jewel, a chip flew up and cut his eyeball open in such a way that the humor flowed out. Dr J. B. Wallace dressed the wound. The saving of the sight is doubtful.

Miss Stella Tate is spending a few day in Detroit.

George Nissle and son Arthur went to Ann Arbor yesterday.

There will be a 5 o'clock tea at the M. E. church Friday, Jan. 24.

The donation to Rev. Mr. Lawrence will be given at the parsonage on January 22, when all will be welcome.
