The Death Of Mrs. E. J. Johnson

Mrs. Prudence Sophia Johnson, widow of the late E. J. Johnson, died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. M. Duke, 437  S. Fourth avenue, at 4:45 Tuesday morning, aged 78 years. The cause of the demise was general debility. She has been lying at the point of death for several days.

Mrs. Johnson came to Ann Arbor in 1850 and has resided here continuously ever since, winning hosts of friends by her gentle ways and happy disposition. The funeral was held at the house yesterday at 2 p. m.
