ARBOR TENT WON THE CONTEST

Defeated the Ypsilanti Macabees on Members

SUPPER WAS THE WAGER

And it is now up to Ypsilanti to do the Proper Thing

About 75 Maccabees from this city accompanied the initiating team to Ypsilanti Wednesday evening. They were met by Wolverine tent and escorted to the lodge rooms, where the team initiated four candidates.

Following this a lunch was served which was heartily enjoyed by the guests. Spicy speeches made by different members of the two tents kept the ball of fun rolling. After the repast was finished the Orientals conferred that degree upon twenty, and it was then that the poor candidates thought of home and mother. It was one of the jolliest initiations in a long time and that is saying a good deal.

There has been a contest on between Wolverine and Arbor tents for some time past, each striving to gain the large number of new members within a certain period, the loser to furnish an oyster supper for the winner. Last night it was decided that Ypsilanti was defeated by a very few and so it is up to them to furnish the supper. 

The members of Arbor tent returned on their special car at 1 a.m. quite satisfied with the evening's work.
