Mumps Closed Superior School

Boyden's Plains, Mich., Jan. 28. - Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Alexander have returned from a five weeks visit in Canada.

Rev. W.F. Morrison spent last week in Detroit.

Mrs. Frank Williams is on the sick list.

Mr. Cushion will visit Will Boyden and family at Bay City this coming week.

M.M. Alexander and Horas Alexander have left for an extended visit in Canada.

News Notes From Boyden Plains Superior, Mich., Jan. 29. - Those wishing to procure an experienced nurse will do well to call on James A.W. Satisfaction guaranteed and charges reasonable.

Fred Green, of Detroit, is spending a few days with his sister, Mrs. A.L. Wilbur.
 

William Crippen has just returned from a visit to his brother, Frank Crippen, of Hudson.

The school in district No. 4, Superior is closed on account of the mumps. 

Mrs. Jane Crippen is visiting at William Crippen's.

About 40 friends and neighbors surprised Mr. and Mrs. Charles Palmer and presented each with a fine rocking chair.

Two Funerals at Stony Creek

Stony Creek, Jan. 27. - Rev. Lewis of Ann Arbor occupied the pulpit at the M.E. church Sunday morning and the Presbyterian in the evening.

Rev. H.J.B. Marsh has closed his meeting at the West Sumpter church.

The funeral of Mrs. Collar was held at the Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon. The interement took place in Stony Creek cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Arvilla Hammond, an old resident, was held at the Child's church Sunday morning; burial at Child's cemetery.

The Crescent Aid society met with Mrs. T.L. Buck on Wednesday. A
