Insane Patient Gets an Estate

The following dispatch from Lansing will be of interest to many in Washtenaw county, as it is believed that the David Forsbee mentioned resided in Salem township and was connected with some litigation about property rights in the circuit court a number of years ago:

"Deputy Attorney-General Chase returned from Washington and New York today, having been absent two weeks on business for the state. While in New York he looked up the estate mate of the insane asylum at Pontiac of David Forsbee, who has been an in-for a period of over 16 years, and the state has paid out over $3,500 for his maintenance. Deputy Chase finds that Forsbee is one of a number of heirs in this state to a property in New York worth from $15,00 to $20,000, and he expects to recover for the state a portion of the money it has expended for Forsbee's maintenance."
