Postoffice Receipts for January Were $4,864.92

There Is No Doubt but That Ann Arbor Is in the First Class List to Stay

The month of January witnessed the largest receipts at the Ann Arbor postoffice that has ever been known in its history.

The records of the stamp window show that $4,864.92 was received, being an increase of $961.89 over January of last year. The business of the office in all departments shows a like increase. Postmaster Pond estimates that the total receipts of the Ann postoffice for the year ending March 31, which establishes the grade of the office, will be about $44,000.

This will be a big increase over last year and makes it certain that Ann Arbor went into the list of first class offices to stay there.
