Drifting Apart

From Port Huron comes the following statement that will be of more than passing interest to all Maccabees. As Washtenaw county contains many members of that order' we reproduce the article: That the two separate jurisdictions of the Knights of the Maccabees, the supreme tent and the great camp for Michigan, are gradually drifting to an open rupture is emphasized by the fact just disclosed that the two branches now have different pass-words. By virtue of a long established custom the two orders have had their fraternal work in common. By arrangement between the two executive officers the semi-annual pass words would be alike in both jurisdictions and members under the great camp of Michigan could visit tent under the supreme tent in other states and Canada, while members from other states while in Michigan could attend sessions of local tents on terms of equality. On several occasions degree teams of this city and Sarnia have visited back and forth, exemplifying the work.
