The sale of the Eberbach corner to the State Savings Bank gives a good idea of what Main street property is worth.

The building will be torn down and what material can be saved for the new building will hardly pay for the cost of tearing it down. Hence the transfer can be taken as a basis of what the bare property is worth.

The purchasers paid at the rate of $416 a foot front for property that is 50 feet deep.

This indicates that Main street property is constantly increasing in value.
