MORE RURAL ROUTES FOR WASHTENAW

"Here is a piece of news for you that has never been published," said Congressman H. C. Smith, to a Journal reporter in Detroit Monday. "The rural delivery agents and inspectors at a meeting In Indianapolis last week decided to make Hillsdale, Lenawee, Jackson, Washtenaw and Monroe counties, all but one of which is in the second district, a sort of an experimental group for rural delivery. They decided upon this group for the reason that the best results will be obtained."

If this goes through it will mean a larger field for the Ann Arbor postoffice, which will be the central point for Washtenaw county and that eventually large covered wagons will be traveling out of here in all directions to cover nearly every district in the county.
