Chelsea, Mich. Feb. 17.-The memorial services held at the M. E. church by the W. C. T. U. last evening consisted of a most excellent musical and literary program, and there was a large audience present to enjoy the well arranged program.
A few days ago one of our physicians received a call from a stranger and some time after the party had departed the doctor missed from his office table a pair of gold rimmed spectacles and a fountain pen, and when he became satisfied, after a thorough search, that the goods had been pilfered he sought the aid of the officers and had the suspected party searched, but the property was not recovered. Then the M. D. thought that possibly his property had been mislaid, but lo and behold, the spectacles a day or so ago were left with one of the parties to whom the man had become indebted for board as a payment toward what he owed.
