And now she is likely to be installed as Daughter-in-Law

Chelsea, Mich. Feb. 4 - The funeral services of the late John Wurster, who shot himself in Lima, were held from his late residence in that township today at 10 o'clock a.m. The inquest will be held next Monday at 10 a.m. before Justice Sadler, of this place.

The Ladies' Research club met at the home of Mrs. O.T. Hoover last evening and the evening was devoted to the discussion of Eugene Field.

The Dexter lodge of Masons were the guests last night of the local Masonic lodge and the latter exemplified the third degree for the benefit of their visiting brothers.

Those who take part in the play that will be presented March 17 for the benefit of St. Mary's church are getting things in fine shape and as some of the best local talent takes part there is no reason why it should not prove a decided success.

A young man who wears glasses from a nearby town, did not have the courage to go and see a young lady of this village recently, for whom he stirred up great lumps of love and admiration beneath the photo button on the left lapel of his coat. He thought, and thought, finally going to her held out the bluff that he was looking for a hired girl for his ma - the horrid thing. It broke the ice, however, and now they can be seen making goo-goo eyes at one another for keeps two or three evenings of the week.

Chelsea, Feb. 28 - A representative of the Boland-Flynn syndicate was here yesterday and stated that as soon as the weather would permit they intended to begin operations east of Grass Lake and would begin running cars from Kalamazoo to Ann Arbor as soon as possible to complete the work.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. H. Buss, of Freedom, are rejoicing over the birth of a son on February 21.

Jacob Schmacher, who was stricken with paralysis Monday, is reported to be very much better.

Henry Schultz, of North Lake, has purchased the residence of Ben Huehl, on Madison street, and will soon become a resident of this village.

Mrs. O. T. Hoover will entertain the Ladies' Research club next Monday evening. It will be "an evening with Eugene Field."
