Milan Ticket

Milan, March 6. -There are two village tickets in the field as follows: Citizens' ticket- President, A. E. Putman. Councilmen: J. Gauntlett, D. N. R. Calhoun, C. L. Ferman. Clerk: C. Steidle; treasurer, Bruce Pullen; assessor, Nelson Rice. Independent ticket- President, W. Robison; council, G. Palmer, Chas Woolcott, A. Jackson; clerk, F. G. T. Wilson; treasurer, M. M. Clark; assessor, W. P. Draper. Village election March 10.

Mrs. F. Leonard of Durand left for Macon the first of the week.

Mrs. W. H. Housman spent Wednesday in Detroit.

Mrs. H. Doty is dangerously ill with dropsy.

Miss Potter, who has been ill with the mumps, is back in school teaching in the intermediate department.

Mr. and Mrs. P. Dodge moved out of the Palmer cottage on Country street into the Myron Brown house on Wabash street.

The state council of the Brotherhood of St. Paul, which has been in session in Flint, closed Tuesday night with a banquet. The meeting was largely attended. Yesterday's session was devoted to the election of officers and the year's review. President E. S. Ninde of Ann Arbor presided. The report of Secretary G. W. Fifield of Jackson showed that the brotherhood was in excellent financial condition, with a total membership of 1,000 in the state, representing 26 chapter. Ten new chapters were organized last year- Reed City, Mason, Farewell, Cheboygan, Traverse City, Jackson, Detroit (two), Plymouth and Kalamazoo. The officers elected for the ensuing year were as follows: President, Rev. E. S. Ninde, Ann Arbor; general secretary, George W. Fifield, Jackson; treasurer, Harry F. Going, Pontiac.
