HELD HIM UP ON ANN STREET

TRAMPS RELIEVE TOM ALLEN OF HIS WATCH

Were Captured and Were Sentenced to 65Days in the Detroit House of Correction

John Smith, Thomas Flynn and Thomas O'Brien, of the tramp variety, stopped and talked with Tom Allen, of Kingsley Street, Tuesday night. They were in front of an Ann street saIoon.

The first Allen knew that anything was wrong was when he discovered his watch chain hanging down loosely.

"You've stolen my watch," he said and at that the tramps ran.

The officers caught them at the Michigan Central.

Wednesday morning Smith pleaded guilty to carrying concealed weapons and received a thirty day jail sentence. Flynn pleaded guilty to stealing the watch and O'Brien pleaded guilty to receiving the same. Justice Doty sent them each to 65 days at the "works."
