The funeral of Miss Martha Ovendorfer, which was held at St. Thomas' church Wednesday morning, was largely attended by the numerous friends Miss Ovendorfer had made in her short life. As the coffin was carried into the church, the Children of Mary, of which society Miss Ovendorfer was a faithful member, formed lines on either side and remained there while the sad procession entered. Fr. Kelly preached a sermon in which he spoke of the sweet character of Miss Ovendorfer and her patience in the many weeks of suffering which she had endured.

At the close of the services, the pathetic strains of "Nearer, My God, to Thee," were sung by the choir of children's voices.

Interment took place in St. Thomas' cemetery, her relatives and many little friends being at the grave.
