SHE WORKED HERE THIS WINTER

Miss Anna Covart, the second wife of Arthur A. Gordon, the self-confessed bigamist of Detroit, spent a portion of this winter in this city working in a book bindery.  In fact Gordon pressed his attentions on the girl while she was here, he even coming from Detroit for the purpose.  Mrs. Gordon No. 1, formerly Maude Kincade of Alpena, was married to Gordon six years ago.

She is the mother of two children belonging to him.  The second woman met Gordon last October and was married to him in Detroit Feb. 15 last.  Both women state that Gordon has been home every night since the middle of February.  The discovery came about yesterday when Gordon could keep his secret no longer and confessed to the police.  No. 1 is 24 years old, No. 2, 26 and Gordon 27.
