"Spot" Paquette, of this city, met a sad end.

Passed Away in Dexter --Coroner Watts will hold and inquest Wednesday.

William Paquette, the barber, who was generally known about the city under the name of "Spot Pickett," died suddenly in Dexter Sunday from alcoholism.

"Spot" was one of the best known young men in the city. His only enemy was himself. Up to last fall he had gone along the straight and narrow path for nearly five years. He had picked himself out of the gutter by sheer force of his own resolutions. During that time he was industrious and had received the encouragement and helping hand from all who knew of his frailty. He had secured a good position and ultimately obtained an interest in one of the best shops in be city. His business future looked bright, but the circumstances surrounding his death Sunday make his end extremely sad.

He had but one fault or rather weakness, and he was more to be pitied than blamed. He leaves many friends who will follow the body to the grave with sincere regret at his untimely and sad end.

The funeral was held Wednesday at 9 o'clock at St. Thomas' Catholic church.
