PERSONAL ITEMS FROM MANCHESTER

Manchester, Mich., March 25.--Miss Ida Uhr, of Jackson, is visiting her parents.

Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Bailey drove to Chelsea Sunday and visited L. T. Freeman and his family.

W. J. Schroeder returned to Toledo Monday morning. He was accompanied as far as Tecumseh by Miss Bertha Lehn, who will remain with her sister, Mrs. Lynn Hardenburgh, several days.

The Saturday club met with Miss Marie Kirchhofer last week. All the members were present for the first time this year.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Burtless and daughter Hazel and Miss Lynda Watkins drove to Ann Arbor Monday morning and returned in the evening.

Miss Edyth Corey, of Tecumseh, was in town between trains Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Smith returned Saturday from a visit with his parents at Swanton, O. Mr. Smith went to Somerset Monday, where they will reside. Mrs. Smith will visit relatives in town a few days.

The 20th Century club will meet with Mrs. Wm. Burtless Wednesday evening.

Miss Maria Kirchhofer went to Ann Arbor Tuesday to visit relatives and attend the Schoolmasters' club.

Mrs. Chas. Adrion and his daughter Rose went to Ann Arbor Tuesday to spend the week at Jacob Hauser's formerly residents of this place.

Mr. and Mrs. John Horning, of Francisco, Jacob Neebling, of Lansing, and Will Horning, of Jackson, were guests at Mrs. Carrie Vogelbacher's Sunday.

Milo Rowe will sell his farm personal property at his farm, one mile north of this village on Friday, March 28, at 1 o'clock in the afternoon.

Miss Gertrude Amsden came here today to visit Miss Marie Blosser the remainder of the week.

The democrats of the township will hold a caucus for the purpose of nominating candidates for the various township offices at the township clerk's office on Saturday, March 29.

Alfred Tuttle, who has been in Lansing and Muskegon for several weeks returned Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Van Tuyle, of Clinton, were in town Sunday.

Among those who will take the teachers' examination at Ann Arbor Thursday and Friday are Misses Emma Schaible, Edith Amspoker, Mae Starks and Louise Schmid and Alvin Kellam.

Mrs. Elmer Foor, of Norvell, was in town Monday.

Miss Marie Miller went to Jackson Tuesday to remain for an indefinite time.

Mrs. B. B. Fall and children, of Jackson, are visiting Mrs. Fall's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Grossman. Miss Bertha Grossman, who has been in Jackson several weeks, returned with them.

W. C. Rogers, of Clinton, was in town on business Monday.

Dr. J. L. Tuttle, of Clinton, was in town Monday.
