Prof. George Carmen Was Elected President-- An Executive Committee Formed

Cleveland, March 29.-- The closing session of the convention of the North Central association of colleges and secondary schools was held today. The following officers were elected: President, George N. Carman, of Chicago; secretary, Prof. F. N. Scott, University of Michigan; treasurer, Principal J. E. Armstrong, Englewood High school, Chicago. Twenty-four vice presidents, one from each college and secondary school of twelve states, were elected. The executive committee elected is: Prof. C. A. Waldo, Purdue university; E. L. Harris, principal Central high school, Cleveland; J. R. Kirk, president State Normal school, Kirksville, Mo.; G. E. Maclean, president of Iowa. Chicago was chosen as the place for holding next year's convention.
