Saloon Keeper Schneider Fined
SALOON KEEPER SCHNEIDER FINED
Nicholas Schneider, the saloon keeper who was found guilty of violating the liquor law by keeping his saloon open on last Christmas day and on Sunday, the fifth of January last, has been fined $25 by Judge Kinne.
In imposing the sentence Judge Kinne gave the accused a severe reprimand admonishing him that if he came before him again on a similar charge he would commit him to jail.
It will be remembered that it was Schneider's saloon on January 5, that Christian Herz met his death by falling down a stairway, in the rear portion of the building, and breaking his neck.
