The entertainment given by the King's Daughters of the Baptist church. Monday evening, in Newberry hall, was a grand success. The participants did themselves proud and a large and enthusiastic audience enjoyed the fine program from beginning to end. Miss Bertha Eldert as "Mrs. Batters" (the landlady) did unusually well, interpreting her part in a manner that showed marked ability. Miss Katherine Brewster as the winsome maid, Juliet, created much merriment and portrayed her part creditably.

Between the plays, Miss Josephine Davidson, too well known to Ann Arbor audiences to require an introduction, gave an Irish dialect reading of her own composition. She was re-encored and responded kindly. At the close of the entertainment she gave a German selection.

Too much credit can not be given to those who had charge of the entertainment. The stage appointments gowns, etc., were all carried out in excellent style.

A neat sum was realized and it will be divided between the S. C. A. under whose auspices the entertainment was given, and the King's Daughters.
