Veins And Arteries Were Severed
Mrs. Ellen Hoban, formerly one of the prominent residents of Ann Arbor, now of Toledo, met with a very painful accident last Saturday afternoon which would have proved serious had it not been for the prompt service of a physician.
While arranging some curtains, Mrs. Hoban took a false step and fell forward on the window with such force that the shattered glass cut an artery and two veins of the right arm.
Her daughter, Mrs. Manley, who was with her, held her wrist, while a neighbor bound the upper arm with a handkerchief until the physician arrived. It took several hours to dress the wounds. Although Mrs. Hoban is very weak, she will recover.
Mrs. Geo. Clarken, of this city is Mrs. Hoban's daughter.
