WARRANT FOR HACKMAN MORTON

A warrant was issued Monday by Justice Gibson for the arrest of Fred Morton, a driver for A. H. Holmes, the liveryman. The complaint on which the warrant was issued was made by Detective Christ. Burroughs, the Michigan Central R. R. detective who says that Morton violated the ordinance against hack drivers approaching too closely to the depot in an effort to get business.

Morton, according to Burroughs, had been warned to keep within the space reserved for hacks and their drivers, but did not respond in the manner in which the detective thought he should. Hence the warrant for Morton's arrest.
