Wall St. Bridge Must Be Rebuilt
At the meeting of the Board of Public Works Wednesday, the city engineer was instructed to prepare plans and specifications for paving Liberty and State Streets with brick and asphalt block and present the same at the next meeting of the council.
It was also directed that Arthur Brown be given permission to repair the tyar walk on the east side of Thayer Street and along the west side of lot No. 8, in block 1 north, range 11 east, by making said walk 5 feet in width in place of 4 feet, which is the width of the present walk.
The city engineer was instructed to communicate with an engineering firm relative to the rebuilding of the Wall Street bridge, which was so badly injured by the storm of Tuesday night that an entirely new structure will have to be put up in the place of the one that has been destroyed.
