MADE AN ATTACK ON SALOON WINDOW

The noise of breaking glass and the boisterous harrangue of a number of men a Philip O'Hara's saloon at 1005 Broadway on last Saturday night, about 7 o'clock, caused considerable excitement in the neighborhood. For a time it seemed as though the saloon was going to be demolished.

According to Chief of Police Warren the disturbance was caused by "Reddy" Smith, the rag-peddler, who it appears was carrying a good sized jag. He had become boisterous in the saloon, when he was forced out of doors. On the sidewalk "Reddy," it seems, out on additional steam to his already belligerent attitude. He made the windows of the saloon the object of his assault, using his feet as the means of attack. Soon the broken glass was flying in all directions.

Officer Isbell was notified but when he reached the place "Reddy" was nowhere to be found. O'Hara refused to make a complaint against him, it being understood that he agreed to pay for the damage he had done.
